    Chat GPT(Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) is a type of  open AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology that can understand and generate natural language  processing tool driven. This large language model-based chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched on November 30, 2022, It allows you to have human-like conversations. The language model can answer questions and assist you with tasks, such as composing emails, essays, and code etc.

4. Once ChatGPT spits out a response, you have a handful of options: Enter a new prompt. Regenerate the response. Copy the response.

Chat GPT can be used to provide virtual reference services to library users. Users can ask questions through the chatbot and receive answers in real-time without having to wait for a librarian to be available. Chat GPT can be programmed to provide basic information about library sources , services,  infrastructure and Library policies.

2. Catalog searching:

User can use ChatGPT to search the Library Catalog for Library resources by using natural language processing to understand user queries and get relevant results

3. Classification : 

ChatGPT can be used to do classification work by asking keywords. for example if you ask give me DDC classification number for Zoology. The answer will be Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) number for Zoology is 590. This number falls within the range of 500-599, which is dedicated to the natural sciences and mathematics. Specifically, 590 is the section of the DDC that focuses on animals and zoology. Within this classification, various topics related to zoology are organized and further subdivided.

4. Research:

ChatGPT can be used to spark ideas or simplify aspects of the research process by generate lists of keywords, and provide summaries of works. And ask it for an abstract.  it can be create a bibliography of relevant resources on research topic in the future.
