Impersonal Book Selection: This lamp state that the 

- Importance of  being towards the objective of the Library

- Unbiased book selection

- Librarian's decisions on the merits of the material and the needs of the community rather than personal preferences or biases.

Service before Self: This lamp state that the

- Librarians prioritise based the needs of the community over their own personal interests 

- Being responsive to the needs of users 

- Providing high-quality service 

- Ensuring that the library is accessible to all

Split Mind:  This lamp state that the

- The ability of librarians to balance the demands of practical library work with the need for intellectual curiosity and scholarship

- Librarians have to maintain a balance between providing effective service and  engaging with the broader intellectual community

Sympathetic: This lamp state that the

- Importance of empathy and understanding in librarianship

- Librarians have to be attentive to the needs and perspectives of their users 

- Librarians have to work to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Tact: This lamp state that the

- The librarians have to communicate effectively with users and colleagues

- The communication must be diplomatic, respectful, and responsive to feedback.

Industry: This lamp state that the

- Importance of Librarian's hard work, dedication, attention to detail in librarianship

- Librarians have to  execute to providing the best possible service to their users 

- Librarians must have a tendency of willing to achieve the library goal.

Scholarship: This lamp state that the 

-  Importance of intellectual curiosity and scholarship in librarianship

-  Librarians have to updated with the latest developments in their field

- Librarians have to keep on ongoing learning and professional development.
